Lower Places 03:52
We deal in lower places So we hide behind our summer sheets We deal with kings & aces But we fold our hands down quietly We'll move mountains that consume The illumination of the room Close the windows, kill the breeze There is nothing here for you to see We deal at steady paces So we push & pull towards one desire But only in secret places Where no one can see us light the fire There's no room for this to grow If we never let nobody know Beyond the confines of this place Oh the silhouettes will plead their case No, no one will ever know. We deal in warm embraces Of a love that's bound between the lines We feel in upper cases But erase the letters just in time So I'll hide away my smile For we only have a little while Find shelter in the night But it falls apart with morning light

Pamphleteer 04:03
Through the broken window and I can't see clear It's cracked and it's forgotten like nobody lives here So take your dirty dishes throw them right off of the pier But leave your pen and paper cuz I'm just a pamphleteer Hanging out in hallways winding up and winding down Sitting up on rooftops in this quiet little town Every time I try to speak oh it doesn't make a sound This pamphleteer ain't staying no I cannot stick around. Wanna live together or do you think you'd rather die What do you think happens far beyond the stars and sky Think that it's OK to tell a tiny little lie You can say I'll never know but you can't say I didn't try A broken wing is something that is easy to acquire When we get to talking oh I'm hung out on a wire A river flowing freely is a sight that I admire This pamphleteer would love to set her papers all on fire

It was a Friday I remember It was the first one in September This is back when I had forgotten To come up for air And the sidewalk filled with people Didn't feel like their equal And the language they were speaking Was unfamiliar to me Everyone off vacation come back from train stations And airports and freeways but I stayed home all year But on this day it was different All the world seemed to repent For the practical jokes it'd been playing on me I was glad that I made it To this momentous occasion Where the clouds parted ways and The sun shined down on me And I took a small step back unsure how to react To the possible lightness that was ahead of me I'd like to believe it's all changing for me But that is a rather large task So I'll move with the tide and wait out the ride I have just one question to ask you so...

Maps 06:26
I've got a home that I can't call my own There's somewhere I'd rather be And it's anywhere but here. When I lay my head down in the grass It's better than you'd think Maybe I can sleep tonight. Well I've been to Chicago and I've been To Portland and I've been To Los Angeles I've been Well I've been to Austin and I've been To Boston and I've been To New York and I've been Skip stones in river banks Dig coins from wishing wells Push pins in fold up paper maps Keep stubs from tickets Polaroids to keep it just like this In a box up on the shelf Well I've been to Chicago and I've been To Portland and I've been To Los Angeles I've been Well I've been to Austin and I've been To Boston and I've been To New York and I've been Key cards to turn on all the lights No stove to cook a meal There's a gym right down the hall Oh there's art Oh it's hung up on the wall Is it even art at all If it's everywhere you go Well I've been to Chicago and I've been To Portland and I've been To Los Angeles I've been Well I've been to Austin and I've been To Boston and I've been To New York and I've been I got a home that I can't call my own There's somewhere I'd rather be And maybe that's with you And if I take the right steps It'll burn the soles from my shoes Maybe I can feel the ground Well I've been to Chicago and I've been To Portland and I've been To Los Angeles I've been Well I've been to Austin and I've been To Boston and I've been To New York and I've been

We could start a fire with our Hands behind our backs It's happened so many times before I'm starting to lose track You're a repeat offender I'm a mislead contender It's the calm before the storm There's just one thing that you should know I ain't the weather keeping you warm You can't reach me when my phone is Sitting off the hook You can't read me when I've torn the Pages out the book Now I see how you've changed the script And I don't wanna be on your sinking ship So this will be the last you hear from me This will be the last you hear from me This will be the last We could start a fire without Turning on the lights Time and time and time again You're wronging all my rights You're a repeat offender I'm a mislead contender It's the calm before the storm There's just one thing That you should know I ain't the weather keeping you warm You can't reach me when my phone is Sitting off the hook You can't read me when I've torn the Pages out the book Now I see how you've changed the script And I don't wanna be on your sinking ship So this will be the last you hear from me This will be the last you hear from me This will be the last

Hell To Pay 04:21
Stealing the breath straight from your chest out of your lungs What's your request, a final song Would you mind if I sing along Sharpen up my teeth and pull my tricks right from my sleeve There's hell to pay Where the offense is won't you let the great axe fall We're closing chapters after all We're in the business of curtain calls And if you don't behave oh you'll have one foot in the grave There's hell to pay Let the light in just a little longer To make sure there has not been a mistake Examine you from every ugly corner Before you're off to bend to burn to break Cross the line I've drawn into weathered sand Pull the tidings from my hands And then you fail to meet demands Soon you'll know there's hell to pay Cold calculations did I break your concentration If you get out what you give Well surely you've no will to live Soon you'll know There's hell to pay Let the light in just a little longer To make sure there has not been a mistake Examine you from every ugly corner Before you're off to bend to burn to break I'll be the voice that you cannot shake from your head I'll crack the ice on which you tread I'll speak the words you want unsaid Well heaven help me now Cuz I have sworn and I've avowed There's hell to pay I'll be the eyes that you feel on you in the dark I'll be the unrelenting spark And I never miss my mark So say your last farewell And oh make sure you do it well There's hell to pay Let the light in just a little longer To make sure there has not been a mistake Examine you from every ugly corner Before you're off to bend to burn to break
